The Cologne Institute for Information Systems for the Faculty of Economics, Management and Social Sciences focuses on research and teaching in Digital Transformation and Digital Innovation, encompassing a broad range of topics such as Systems Development, Entrepreneurship, Mobility & Energy, Data Analytics or Sustainability.

YOUR TASKS

• Designing and teaching a course on digital ethics on your own responsibility
• Implementing the Faculty‘s strategy of using the „Giving Voice to Values“ approach in these offerings
• Collaboration in ongoing research projects of the institute
• Publication of the study results in (inter)national journals and participation in (inter)national conferences
• Research Assistant: Opportunity for obtaining a doctoral degree
• PostDoc: Possibility to do research autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the CIIS

YOUR PROFILE

• Research Assistant: Very good Master/Degree in Management, Economics, Information Systems or related fields.
• PostDoc: Excellent degree in management, economics, information systems, computer science or in educational science or psychology is required
• Command of the German language, both written and spoken, and a very good command of English are required
• Commitment, dedication, flexibility and ability to work in a team as well as autonomously and self-organized

The position is available from 01.07.2024 on a part-time basis (19,92 hours per week). The contract is to be filled for a fixed term until 30.09.2027. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
