Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position in Wireless Communications

A fully funded Postdoc position is available on wireless communications at the Department of Communications and Networking (Comnet), Aalto University, Finland. The position will be filled for 2 years with possibility for extension.

The Communications Engineering group at Comnet focus on advanced radio communications systems for 5G and beyond. Currently the group is working with machine type communications, ultra-dense networks, ambient backscatter communications and RF inference.  Very recently the group also started working with microwave quantum backscatter communications.

A successful candidate has a Doctoral degree and exceptional track record in Communications Engineering or closely related field. The candidate is expected to have a solid background in (quantum) information theory, signal processing methods for wireless communications, radio resource management methods or software defined radio implementation aspects.  Knowledge in antenna design and radio propagation are considered as merits.

Application deadline is 30.6.2017. Position can be filled from 1.9.2017 onwards. The monthly salary will depend on the qualification and progress of the selected person, and can vary between 3500 – 4500 EUR before tax.
