Postdoc (f/m/d)

The full time position is limited for 3 years.

Our working group is committed to develop and apply new in vitro models derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells. In particular, we are interested in retinal organoids and our model system, the retina-on-a-chip.

Your tasks:

• Conduct a 3 years third-party funded project
• Perform routine laboratory experiments on topics such as stem cell (iPSC) and organoid cultivation, cell molecular biology, microfluidics, and microscopy
• Perform complex cell culture experiments including microfluidics and multi-cellular culture systems
• Laboratory management
• Molecular Biology (e.g. isolation of DNA / RNA, PCR, qPCR, Immunocytochemistry, Cryosectioning)

Your profile:

• Master or PhD in Biology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related areas
• Strong background knowledge in cell biology
• Experience in cell culture especially stem cell culture (human iPSC) and molecular biology techniques is mandatory
• Experience with microfluidics and organoid culture are advantageous
• Excellent English and communication skills
• Excellent self-organization and project management skills
