Full Time Faculty Opening – Organizational Psychology or Developmental Psychology

The Universidad de Las Américas (UDLA), Escuela de Psicología, located in Quito, Ecuador, invites applications for a full-time permanent teaching and research faculty position in Organizational Psychology or Developmental Psychology available immediately.

We seek candidates interested in establishing innovative research programs in the field of Organizational Psychology or Developmental Psychology and whose research interests have the potential to strength ongoing multidisciplinary research projects and/or programs of faculty currently at UDLA.

Location
Ecuador is one of the smallest countries in South America, yet it is a country rich in cultural, geographic, and biological diversity. Salary
The salary is negotiable and commensurate with training and experience.

Screening of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the most qualified candidate is identified. Preference will be given to applications received before February, 2018.

Qualifications sought
Applicants should have a PhD degree in Organizational Psychology or Developmental Psychology or closely related field. The successful candidates are expected to show a clear commitment to research and to satisfy the teaching and service requirements according to university policies. UDLA provides conference and research funding and a possible teaching load reduction.

Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the applicant’s area of research expertise. Preference will be given to candidates with a record of publications in top-ranked peer-reviewed journals and with proven excellence in teaching and contributions to the education and training of undergraduate and/or graduate students.

Aspiring junior researchers must have earned a PhD degree (or be near completion) in Organizational Psychology or Developmental Psychology or closely related field and have demonstrated their potential to publish in top-ranked peer-reviewed journals.

Spanish language skills are required, and candidates are expected to become proficient within a reasonable period of time.
