Join the research group of Dr Melania Capasso in part time (40%).

The Capasso lab is interested in how myeloid immune cells change with age and the impact this has on neurodegenerative diseases.

Your tasks

  • Supporting the group in managing colonies of experimental animals
  • Placing orders
  • Overseeing lab inventory lists and stored samples
  • Helping lab members carry out experiments related to immune cell function in aging and neurodegeneration, including in vivo experiments, cell culture of microglia and macrophages, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence staining

Requirements

  • BSc or technical degree in a biomedical field
  • Preferably with experience in working in a research lab
  • Preferably with previous experience in managing genetically modified mouse lines
  • Well-organized and pro-active way of working
  • Knowledge of the English language (but proficiency is not necessary)
  • Eagerness to work in an international environment
