Description: The research is related to circuit design and design space exploration of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for low-power and high-performance integrated circuits. The objective is to investigate signal, power and thermal integrity of circuits with CNT devices and CNT interconnect. Additionally, circuit architecture and interconnect topology will be investigated for high bandwidth and energy efficiency.
Position summary: The position is a one-year with possibility of extension to start on March 1st, 2017 with a main location at CNRS-LIRMM/Univ. Montpellier (http://www.lirmm.fr/lirmm_eng) in Montpellier, France. CNRS is the top research institute in Europe in fundamental research. European mobility will be required for a close interaction with project partners.
Qualifications: By the starting date, the applicant should have a Ph.D. degree in Engineering Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Solid knowledge in the areas on VLSI circuit design and/or semiconductors is necessary. Any experience from device physics and/or theoretical modeling is a merit. You should have good analytical and experimental skills and good ability to work independently towards the goals expressed in the project plans.
Language: Fluency in English is mandatory. French is not mandatory.
