IN THE MIDDLE OF EUROPE
Halfway between Geneva and Zürich, in the middle of Europe, the UniNE is a perfect place for those who wish to study or to undertake high-level research in a magnificent environment, near lake and mountains. In Neuchâtel, students‘ and researchers‘ activities take place throughout the city, in various but nearby places. This ensures close contact and mutual help, in particular between beginners and advanced students.
FACULTY OF HUMANITIES
The Faculty of Humanities is UniNE’s largest faculty with more than 2000 students and approximately 100 teaching staff. It is home to a wealth of excellence in a number of different fields including literature, languages, human and social sciences.
FACULTY OF SCIENCE
The Faculty of Science has established many linkages with the local economy. High-level research laboratories include various fields such as atomic clocks, plant survival and geothermics. The Faculty has gained a notable reputation thanks to its involvement in several national and international projects.
FACULTY OF LAW
The Faculty of Law plays a key role in Legal Research. It houses internationally renowned institutes and centers of study and is regarded as a reference in several areas of law. Among them : sport law with the presence of The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), health law and tenancy law.
FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS
The Faculty of Economics and Business accommodates some 800 students supervised by one hundred teachers and researchers. The attention that professors and assistants pay to the curriculum of each student as well as the quality of the teaching have been pointed out in several surveys conducted on its students.
