Lillehammer University College (LUC) is located in beautiful surroundings in central eastern Norway. The institution has a long tradition as education provider and is part of the Norwegian public higher education system. LUC is situated just outside the city of Lillehammer and has approximately 4200 students and an academic and administrative staff of 330 employees. All on one campus.
Efforts are being made for closer academic and administrative cooperation between the three university colleges around Lake Mjøsa (Lillehammer, Gjøvik and Hedmark), the goal being both to strengthen the university colleges academically and to contribute to the development of the region.
LUC's academic range is wide: undergraduate programmes in Travel and Tourism, Business Administration, Organisation and Management, Sports Science, Film and Television, The Norwegian Film School, Health and Social Work, Humanities and Social Sciences.
LUC carries national responsibilities for Film and Television education and for the academic field "Life Conditions and Socialisation of Children and Youth". At graduate level LUC offers master's studies in Education, Social Policy, Health and Social Work for Children and Youth, Social Welfare and Film and TV Science.
