Marianne-bleueFirst of all is EGID (European Genomic Institute for Diabetes) an international research institute focussed on diabetes (type 1 and 2), obesity and its associated risk factors and its vocation is to diffuse and valorise the"research products". EGID is the first diabetes institute in France that has recognised international visibility and it is the only center in the world that presents such a wide scope in its field: fundamental research, university education, permanent education, prevention, prediction, clinical applications, industrial valorisation and promotion of public health actions.

The missions of EGID

EGID is destined to play a major role worldwide in the field of diabetes, obesity and its associated factors. The fundamental mission of the institute will be to develop mayor breakthroughs in the understanding of these diseases, as well as their diagnosis and therapeutic treatments.
