The Centre for Cosmology, Particle Physics and Phenomenology (CP3) at “Université catholique de Louvain” (Belgium) invites applications for two PhD (Early Stage Researcher) opening in Accurate QCD predictions for BSM phenomenology at the LHC
The positions are funded by MCnetITN3 (http://www.montecarlonet.org/), the third edition of European Union funded Marie Curie Research Training Network dedicated to developing the next generation of Monte Carlo event generators.
The applicants are expected to hold a Master degree giving access to a PhD since no more than 4 years. They also need to be in mobility (must not have lived or carried out their main activity in Belgium for more than 12 of the 36 months prior to starting). The PhD includes the opportunity for secondments to both the network's non-academic partners (IBA and B12 in Belgium, d-fine and blue yonder in Germany) and its academic members (Manchester, Durham, Glasgow, Gottingen, Karlsruhe, Lund, University College London, CERN, SLAC, Heidelberg and Monash). A background and interest in high-energy and particle physics phenomenology are required.
Review of the applications will start on the 7th of January 2017 and the positions will remain open until filled.
