One vacant position for a full-time University Assistant at the Chair of Reservoir Engineering at the earliest possible date in a fixed-term to 4 years of employment, with a possible extension to an indefinite position not excluded. Salary Group B1 of the Austrian labor agreement, monthly minimum excl. supplements € 3.626,60 for 40 hours per week (14 times a year).
Requirements: PhD in an appropriate field of science such as in physics, petroleum engineering, petrophysics or geosciences; experience in experimental research in particular pore-scale physics, core flooding, x-ray tomography, and petrophysical methods; team spirit, a high level of motivation and the willingness to contribute to the goals of the chair is expected; a high-level proficiency in the English language, German language is of advantage or, in case of insufficient knowledge, the willingness to learn the German language is required.
Job Profile: Experimental research in the area of multiphase flow in porous rock; pore-scale physics and upscaling to the continuum scale; interface to numerical simulation on the pore and continuum scale; active participation in industrial and research projects and acquisition of funding is expected; active participation in preparation in teaching related to reservoir engineering.
