We are looking for a person that wants to contribute with hands on implementation and research for the structured VLSI design framework called SiLago and extending it with 3D integrated DRAM memory. You will contribute with generalizing the SiLago framework with parametric clock tree synthesis, power grid dimensioning and Globally Ratiochronous and Locally Synchronous Design Methods for communication between SiLago regions or chiplets. You will also guide PhD students in the area of VLSI implementation of large scale brain cortex models and bioinformatics accelerators. You will also be a part of our teaching in the area of ASIC design, Verification based on SystemVerilog and Digital design. You will be working together with Prof. Ahmed Hemani and be a part of his team.
You need to have a PhD in VLSI design and high performance coarse grain reconfigurable structures. Comprehensive design and research background in state of the art in high performance, massively parallel reconfigurable architecures, neural networks, control theory and VLSI design challenges and trends. You need to have a deep understanding and hands on experience with circuit level issues of VLSI design and ability to handle logical and physical synthesis is a must. You should have proven track record of high quality publications. You should be able to teach and lead exercise and assist in labs for digital design and related courses.
