Tenure Track Professorship (f/m)

IFADO (Leibniz Research Center for Working Environment and Human factors, TU Dortmund) has a strong expertise in toxicology, immunology, cell biology, chemical biology, neurosciences and ergonomics. IFADO includes a Central Unit for Analytical Sciences that closely collaborates with the different project groups of the institute, while simultaneously conducting its own research, for example by developing novel analytical techniques.

Tenure Track Professorship (f/m)

The successful candidate should have a strong background in at least one of the following topics in the field of analytical biology/analytical chemistry: lipid analysis, metabolite analysis, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, genome wide RNA or DNA analysis (e.g. RNAseq, genetic variants, epigenetics), analysis of cytokines (and other mediators of inflammation), choline metabolism, bile acids and hepatic metabolism, tumor metabolome and protein modifications. Moreover, bioinformatics expertise required for the evaluation of complex analytical data will be welcome. Additionally, experiences in leading a research team and in securing grant funding will be an advantage.

Besides performing his/her independent research projects, the successful candidate will be the central partner for all analytical techniques required by the different project groups at the institute, will supervise a whole body human exposure chamber, and will be responsible for the tissue bank of the institute.

The successful candidate will be offered an Independent Research Group for an initial period of three years with the possibility for a permanent position (tenure track position). Funding includes the group leader position and additional resources for research positions (technicians), consumables, and investments. The cumulative amount of funding being offered is competitive with top class start-up packages of international career development programs.
