SOFTWARE ENGINEER (M/F)
REAL-TIME PROCESSING OF AUDIO SIGNALS

The Audio & Media Technologies Division at Fraunhofer IIS is conducting research and development of audio and video coding methods, in addition to the transport of multimedia data via IP streaming networks and radio/TV broadcasting.

Are you interested in real-time processing of audio signals? Do you want to help develop the technologies of tomorrow in this field?

Then we have the right position for you!
As part of our team, you will have the chance to design and optimize audio coding and audio processing algorithms for the use in close-to-hardware environments, which will be used in many millions of devices – such as TV sets, digital radios or smart phones. You will develop, test and simulate platform independent software for digital signal processors, as well as for embedded and mobile systems – and you will test and validate them on prototypes and end user devices.

Your profile

  • University degree in the field of Engineering or Natural Sciences
  • Solid skills and knowledge in the programming language C
  • Basic knowledge of digital signal processing, particularly related to audio signals
  • Advantageous: programming know-how in the field of digital signal processors, audio coding expertise and programming experience with Android and iOS operating systems
  • Good oral and written communication skills in both German and English
